Get to know my process!
All assets below were made for the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians 2023 Winter Family Medicine Update
Logo
I like to start by doing research, looking for logos that may have similar themes or styles to what I am thinking, and use them as inspiration for my design. During this research process, I start to brainstorm color schemes, too. Then I sketch out a few ideas to explore different concepts and refine the ideas before moving onto the computer.
Once I have a few solid ideas, I move into Illustrator to bring my ideas to life and create polished concepts to present to the client.
Branding & Marketing
Once the client has chosen a logo, I start creating assets like social media graphics (register today, early bird ending soon, speaker highlight, sponsorship graphics and more), webpages, and emails, to market the event to attendees.
Creating the webpages for the event is probably my favorite part, because it is the main information hub, the one spot that every interested party will land, to register, see the agenda and get hotel information.
One of the best parts about being a designer is watching a brand unfold, taking the initial logo and event theme and turning them into eye-catching graphics that not only give off information but draw people to action.
Printed Materials
Marketing is important leading up to the event, but the printed materials make the event come to life onsite. Some of the physical items I have created for events are listed below:
Onsite Program (created and sent to the printer off site 2 weeks in advance)
Signs (created and sent to the printer off site 2 weeks in advance)
Drink Tickets
Coloring page
Name Badges
Exhibitor Bingo Cards
